What if I change my mind and want to cancel my message package?

• You have 5 business days from the date of purchase to cancel your order for a refund. There are no refunds for cancellation requests received after the 5th business day.

Is this confidential?

• While we cannot control the actions of the recipient(s), your files will be confidentially and securely kept on our end until they’ve been released to your recipient(s) from the information you’ve supplied for them.

• For our comfort- as it pertains to security, the files, messages, and/or documents that you upload to our site are automatically stored in our database through Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• One More Thing will have access to your files, as this is necessary to ensure delivery to the recipient(s), but we will not review the content of these files.
  

Why can’t people just do this themselves?

• Great question! There are several reasons that prevent one from sharing these personal thoughts/messages (such as procrastination, fear, etc.). Additionally, while one may currently be able to send messages to loved ones, the ability to have a message delivered to someone at a specific date in the future, at a specific milestone, or after they depart the Earth is not guaranteed, which makes it that much more special and cherishable!

What if I have multiple recipients?

You do not need a different user account for each recipient, you will only need to purchase the packages per recipient. You can upload files/documents for each individual recipient through your user account.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes! We will offer discounts periodically throughout the year.

I understand that I can select a specific date in the future for my message package(s) to be delivered, but how will you know when I pass?

There are three ways in which we can verify this:
1.) If the delivery preference that you select is after your departure and you’re in the United States, we will follow up to obtain your personal information and send our user agreement. One More Thing has access to a national death file which we check on a regular basis. When we become aware of your passing, we will release the messages to your chosen recipient(s).

2.) For our customers in countries outside of the United States (and for those in the U.S. that would prefer this method), you also have the option to nominate someone whom will be able to contact us to inform us of your status in which we will then release your content to the recipients. This person, your Nominee, will not be given access to any confidential information/messages/content. They will only be able to inform us that you are no longer here. If you would like to add a nominee, please complete all fields in the required form that populates when you select a product.

3.) Alternatively, you can specify in your Will that you would like your executor or a legally authorized person to follow-up with One More Thing, LLC to notify us of your departure. Please keep in mind we may request adequate support, but upon verification, we will proceed with the release of your messages to their intended recipient(s).

Is this similar to will & estate planning?

While we recommend that everyone obtain a will so that their affairs are in order, NO- we are not a will and/or estate planning business. Please do not attempt to use our services for anything related to legal matters. Please do not submit any legal documentation as One More Thing will not be reviewing the content. We are not responsible for legal documents.

We are not a legal planning, asset management, nor asset allocation company. We do not legally act on the behalf of our customers. We are essentially a message delivery business. You can list in your Will that you want us to be notified but we do not handle your personal/legal matters.
